Liquor system hearing today

State Rep. Kevin Murphy said privatizing the state’s liquor system will not only affect livelihoods, but lives as well.

Murphy, D-Scranton, a member of the House Liquor Control Committee, will act as co-chairman at a public hearing today regarding the privatization of the state’s liquor stores. House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, will chair the meeting that will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the University of Scranton in Redington Hall’s Collegiate Hall, 900 Mulberry St. Rep. Dante Santoni, D-Berks, will also be in attendance.
